What is a photo session like?
A photo session with Anna Cummings Photography is relaxed and fun. I'll encourage smiles with friendly tips and silly prompts for kids. Poses will be directed, if needed, but real emotion and relationships will be focused on for natural connections. Natural poses are captured with simple statements to elicit real emotion.
What should I wear to my session?
Great question! I always encourage comfortable clothing which makes you feel like you look your best from every angle. Families or groups should try to coordinate outfits but don't be too matchy. When you book with me I send you my Visual Style Guide to give you guidance on what is best to wear.
How long until we receive our edited images?
One week after your portrait photo session all of your professionally edited images will be delivered to your online proofing gallery. For newborn sessions the editing period is two weeks instead of one week. I'll email you when they are ready!
What happens if you get sick or injured? What about rain or storms?
If I am sick or injured I will reach out to you as soon as a I can and make arrangements to reschedule, or cancel and refund you. For outdoor sessions with bad weather I reach out to you and make arrangements to reschedule.
How many photos will we receive in our gallery?
Every session is different. I choose the best photos from every session to add to your online gallery. A typical gallery will have about 30-70 high resolution edited images in it for you to look through and purchase a collection from. Headshot or event galleries are unique, and I will discuss with you how many images to expect.
How long is our online gallery open and do I have to buy images?
Your online gallery is open for 7 days for you to purchase a collection full of your favorite digital images. Clients are not required to purchase any images. A Collection purchase is required before you may a la carte prints. The retainer fee is required and non-refundable.
For our digital images, are we able to upload to photo print sites for use in the future, in addition to what we order through you?
Yes, you may absolutely print the digital images anywhere you'd like. I give a print release to all my clients. I offer the option of professional printing services that provides a high quality of image printing that I guarantee. I still possess the copyright of the images, so they can't be resold to a third party or used for business purposes unless specifically released to do so. But my clients are welcome to share, print, and the like with their photos as they deem suitable!
