Best Locations for Photos in AlbuquerqueBests Spots for Photos in Albuquerque, NM
New Mexico has stunning scenery! As a photographer I am constantly awed by the beautiful landscapes. However, Albuquerque is unique in that it has so many varieties of environments for your images. When you are preparing for professional photos you are investing in capturing memories. You take the time to look your best, pick the right photographer, and make sure the weather is great for your Albuquerque photo session. Professional photos are more than just quick shots, they are carefully thought out and prepared so you can get the absolute best quality images. A session with a professional photographer is fun and relaxing. Your photographer has experience and is ready to capture your personalities and love. But what do you do if your Albuquerque photographer asks you for your vision or your dream location?
Whether it be for your family photos, your Albuquerque maternity session, or your engagements session, you want the photos to be stunning and gorgeous! A photo session in Albuquerque can help you achieve that goal! Be prepared to give your photographer some ideas of what your dream Albuquerque location is for your stunning photo session.
Sandia Peak is a stunning spot in Albuquerque. One of the best locations in Albuquerque for photos! If you take the tram up the mountain you can reach the peak in less then 20 minutes or take the scenic road and be at the peak in an hour. Up at the top you get gorgeous views of the city. The horizon stretches out and you can see the vista stretch out from the foothills. This area is full of high winds. BONUS TIP: Make restaurant reservations at the top of the Sandias for 20 minutes past sunset and enjoy a lovely dinner on the mountain top after your photo session!
Sandia Mountain Foothills. The area at the bottom of the Sandias is just as stunning as the peak. Here you’ll find beautiful desert grasses and junipers. This area is also high enough above the city that sunsets here can be amazing! This area is my absolute FAVORITE location in Albuquerque for photos.
Rio Grande Bosque. Along the Rio Grande river are huge cottonwood trees, tall grasses, and peaceful walking paths. Bosque is Spanish for forest. Glimpses of the Rio Grande are rare in this area, the main focus is the peaceful surroundings, and beautiful light through the trees. Photos here are stunning in the fall when the foliage begins to change. Do not miss out on your fall family portraits here in the bosque! It is a super popular fall area for some of the best fall photos in Albuquerque!
Sandia Mountain vistas. Photos in Albuquerque are always breathtaking when they include the Sandia mountains. Don’t miss out on these iconic Albuquerque mountains. Every New Mexican in Albuquerque should have the chance to do their family photos in front of the Sandias!
At the Rio Grande River. Full of wildlife and people, the river is teeming with life! Some beautiful spots along the river provide brilliant views of the mountains and stunning river scenes. The Rio Grande is a life line in New Mexico, and a true landmark.
Old Town in Albuquerque is a historic treasure. Full of private nooks, and amazing adobe architecture it's a don't miss location. Especially brilliant during the Christmas season when Christmas decorations and lights fill the area.
Downtown Albuquerque is a vibrant ever changing urban location. Every corner is a different feel! From ever changing graffiti to historic buildings.
New Mexico has such unique landscapes. As your Albuquerque photographer I want us to find a wonderful location for your photos. From the foothills, down to the river amongst the trees in the bosque, in Old Town, in downtown, or at the top of the Sandias- I’ve got you covered.
