The Love and Joy of a Baby-Led at Home Session

Those first few days are a blur. They go fast. Your body is healing and adjusting. Between the snuggles and feedings it can be hard to hold onto those precious moments.

The best type of newborn photos for mom, baby, and the rest of the family is at home! No leaving the house. No bringing baby out in public or overwhelming worry about keeping baby happy and fed in a studio. No running late trying to make sure you’ve packed all the things (plus all the extras), fed and changed baby (twice!), and gotten yourself ready. Skip the exhausted scrambling for directions and figuring out parking. We all love the convenience of being at home. Bonus: no lugging around a diaper bag and car seat in those freshly postpartum days!

The biggest joy of an in-home session is that every second is baby led. Best for baby. We go at baby’s schedule. Time to eat, sleep, or play? Let’s do exactly that. Sessions go quickly or slowly at baby’s pace. Extra-long feeding, or time for a snuggle, we’ve got time for that. The natural rhythm of baby leads the session.

You know you love the photos- real and vibrant. The sweet poses and ALL of the moments in-between. Cozy and loving in your own space. I focus on the details: baby’s little toes and the loving kisses on the top of their heads. The images from an in-home session are full of priceless moments.
